- Principals Challenge: If the school reaches $25,000 in profit the kids will get to vote on what to dress Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Jacques like for the day.
- 50 state challenge: If we get pledges from all 50 states Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Jacques will challenge each another to a sumo wrestling match with Mr. Heller as the referee.
From Student Council:
Our first Student Council meeting of the school year is tomorrow, Friday, September 15th at 8:15 in the Learning Commons. This is a very important meeting and all classroom representatives should attend for shirt sizing, officer information, and planning for the year.
We will be handing out a list of all meeting dates at this meeting.

1st and 2nd Grade Performers!
We are getting ready for our musical on October 26th and we need some actors and actresses to help tell the story. Come before school at 8:00 am on Tuesdays and Fridays to practice Sept 26, 29 & Oct. 3, 6, 17, 20 & 24th. All participants should be ready to memorize small speaking parts and perform in front of the whole school as well as for their families and friends that evening at 6:00 pm. A total of 24 students will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Club cost is $13.75 per student. You can register here:

Do you love to paint?! Come join Ms. Miller in the art room for Canvas and Cookies! Classes will be held from 8:00-8:55 on Thursday mornings. All materials will be provided, and students will be able to create 4 different paintings over the course of 8 weeks. The first day of class will be Oct 5th. Class fee is: $33….Email Ms. Miller at camiller@dcsdk12.org by Sept. 25th to let her know if your child would like to participate. For students in grades 4th-6th grade only. Class will max out at 20 kids so email Ms. Miller before it’s too late!
