Student Council Updates:
All Student Council students have a meeting tomorrow, Friday, December 8th at 8:15 in the Learning Commons. Student Council reps are encouraged to wear their black FSE t-shirt every Friday.
If you chose to purchase a Wish Week t-shirt for your student and have not already paid the $10 please do so as soon as possible. You can give cash or a check, made our to DCHS, to the front office.
Kindergarten Registration!!
Kindergarten Registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be on December 12th, 13th and 14th from 10am-2pm. All of the registration paperwork can be found on our website under the Registration tab here. If you have any questions please contact Kellie McKenzie in our front office.
Winter Weather is Here!
Our doors open for student supervision at 8:55 a.m. Please do NOT drop your child off prior to this time because it is very cold and they will be waiting outside. I also want to encourage all parents to make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. We have seen many shorts and no jackets this week and it has been cold! We use Weather Bug to monitor the weather during the day and if the ‘feels like’ temperature is around 20 degrees we keep students inside for recess.
Intent to Return
In order to plan for enrollment and have your child placed in a class next year we need all parents (if you have not done so already) to fill out our intent to return. Click here for the form.
Are You Receiving Text Alerts?
Even if you signed up for text alerts you need to opt in to text messaging in order to receive them. If you are unsure how to do this please call the office and we will help you. This is very important as it will be our first line of communication should we have an emergency.
Updates:
- If you are wondering what your child’s teacher's favorite things are please see this attachment Staff Favorites
- Our student’s art will be featured in a personal art show at our district office on Wilcox Street. The show will be from Dec. 1st to Dec. 13th and you can view your child’s artwork from 8:00-4:30 Monday -Friday during those dates.
- We still have a parent representative opening our school accountability committee. Please email Rossana Urbina if you are interested here rossanaurbina@comcast.net.
