It’s time for Douglas County’s Annual Battle of the Books!
If you aren’t familiar with the Battle of the Books program, teams from different schools read the same set of books and compete against each other by answering questions about the books. All the questions in the competition begin with the words, “In which book…” and the correct answer is the title and author of the book. For an application please have your child ask their teacher.
Applications are due October 17th and selections will be made on Friday October 20th.
Practice will begin Thursday, October 26th and our first battle will be the last week of January.

Teams will be decided based on the following criteria:
  • Application
  • AR Record - Consistently reading at or above grade level
  • Teacher Recommendations
  • STAR Reading Scores
