12-15-16 FSE Thursday Blast

Dear FSE Families,
I hope you all have a wonderful break and a very safe and happy holiday with your families and friends.  This past year has been an incredible one at FSE, and I feel so fortunate to be the leader of such a wonderful staff and group of students.  Our students, your children, continue to amaze me each day with their love of learning and kindness towards each other, so thank you for sharing them with us and with me, they keep me laughing and loving my job everyday.  I continue to be grateful for the incredible group of teachers, staff and parents that dedicate their days to making Flagstone great by volunteering in classrooms, running our PTO and putting on our numerous afterschool events.  It takes and entire community to create a great school for kids so I thank all of you for being a part of that work.  I wish you all the best this holiday season and hope you all enjoy this break.  See you all back here in 2017!

Happy Holidays!
Kelli Smith, FSE Principal

We can't run this without volunteers. High School Students are welcome to help and hours count toward community service hours. Thank you!

Calling all artists!
Flagstone is looking for an amazing student-created cover for the 2016 - 2017 yearbook! This year, we are going with a ROCKS traits theme! The cover should also have a spot to display that this is the 2016 - 2017 school year! If you are interested in creating your design please turn them into Mrs. Mallory’s classroom (Blue Pod Room 107). All covers are due before Thanksgiving break!

BOX TOPS
We need your help!  Flagstone's Student Council has begun collecting Box Tops.  Please neatly cut out any Box Tops you may have at home, check the expiration date, and then either glue or tape them to the Box Tops sheet your student brought home last week.  You may also put the cut out Box Tops in a bag.  Make sure to send the Box Tops back to school with your student!  We are having a school-wide friendly competition to see which class can collect the most Box Tops each month!  Each Box Top is worth 10¢, so it will add up quickly!  At this time we are only collecting Box Tops, and are not accepting Labels for Education.  Thanks so much for all of your help!

Non Smoking Campus
The below signs were just hung around our campus. All schools are smoke and vapor free zones.  This includes our kiss and go and parking lot areas.  Please adhere to these policies.

PTO Parents Night Out
On December 9th PTO along with our BASE director will be hosting a Parents Night out. The purpose of this event is to provide parents a safe and fun place to drop their kids off while parents enjoy a night off, while fundraising for our PTO.  The fee will be 25 dollars per child and will include pizza, popcorn, activities and a movie.  More information will be coming in regards to reservations and payment so be on the lookout!

Help our school by buying groceries!
Purchase a $5 preloaded King Soopers Gift Card by clicking here.  Or look for our booth at Donuts With Dad.
Ask the King Soopers cashier to load money on your card before you buy groceries, then use the gift card to pay.  Every time you load money on the card, you help our school, without paying extra money out of your pocket!

**Please note, if you have purchased a card in the past, but the balance has been $0 for more than 90 days, your card has expired, and you must buy a new card.

HEALTH NEWS
