8-24-17 FSE Thursday Blast

Dear FSE Parents,
We are hoping that all parents can come to our Back to School Night tonight from 6 to 7 pm.  We will have two sessions one from 6:00-6:25 pm and one from 6:30-7:00 pm in each classroom.  If you do decide to bring younger siblings please be mindful of the noise level when the teacher is presenting the material.  We hope to see all of you here!

Updates
  • This year we adopted a new math program called enVision.  After much research and discussion we felt that this program was the best fit for our students based on feedback from parents and the achievement of our students. Your child's teacher will give you access to the online games and materials to help your children at home with their math achievement.  Please reach out to your child’s teacher should you have any questions regarding this new program.
  • ROCKS: We have refined and updated our ROCKS curriculum to focus more on a growth mindset rather than punitive measures in our teaching of these important character traits.  Your teachers will talk to you about in more detail at Back to School Night tonight.
  • Stampede To Read:  Our annual fundraiser is coming!  Please be on the lookout for more information on how you can help us support the updating of our bookroom.

Reminders:
  • If your child has to take medication to outdoor education the deadline for bringing the medication to school is this Monday.  Please drop it off with our health assistant, Cindy Rychlick.
  • Please remind your children to not arrive at school prior to 8:55, there is no supervision.
  • Please remember dogs are not allowed on campus.
